  1. Alexie says:

Absolutely loved this. I guess this is something I’ve never really thought about but the fresh perspective is so refreshing! Will defo be exploring some special places of my husbands soon. I think who they are is such a reflection of who they were and what they experienced!

  2. Kim says:

I loved reading this. What a sweet reminder to meet them over and over again. I am looking forward to our summer family trip where we can reconnect, and I can learn even more after knowing him 16 years.

    • Eryn Lynum says:

Yes!! I love reconnect trips. We have a trip planned next month, mostly for writing, but I’m looking forward to some unplugged, reconnecting time. Enjoy your trip!

  3. Sarah says:

This is so sweet. My husband and I grew up together so there isn’t much that we don’t know about each other in that regard, but every now and then I can get a detail or story out of him that I didn’t know before. I love getting to know the different sides of him. I’ve never thought about reading a book together, though. That’s an excellent idea that we’re going to have to try out.

    • Eryn Lynum says:

It’s a hard discipline. Usually at the end of a long day, once the kids are in bed, we would rather veg out in front of Netflix 😉 But while we are driving is a good time. We like finding books on topics we are both interested an passionate about. Right now we are reading “Last Child In The Woods”, which is very timely after moving our family to the mountains for the sole purpose of spending more time in nature. So finding a book you’ll both be interested in is key 😉 Have fun!!

  4. Oh my gosh, this is so sweet! Such a wonderful read! I have been thinking more and more about this, since we are creeping up on our 10 year wedding anniversary. Half of which he spent deployed….so that gives a whole new meaning to getting to know your spouse. 🙂

    • Eryn Lynum says:

Oh my goodness, yes! A totally different perspective on it all, I am sure. And I’m certain it comes with challenges too. But what a neat thing for you to be welcomed into such a big part of his (and your) life. All the best to you!

  5. Sophia says:

I think it is important to for couples to always keep things new and fresh so they can stay connected to each other.
